I grew up just north of Seattle in the seaside town of Edmonds.  After graduating from Edmonds-Woodway High School I spent four years in Boulder.  I attended the University of Colorado and graduated with a major in film and a minor in religious studies.  From Colorado, I made my way to Sun Valley, Idaho, an area that I had previously fallen in love with during family vacations.  I am an avid outdoor enthusiast, whether it be skiing, running, biking, hiking, climbing or camping on sunny days that seem to be endless in the Wood River Valley. I always strive for the next big adventure whether it is climbing-skiing peaks, running ultra-marathons and exploring the outdoors with my husband and two boys.

One thing that has always drawn me to the Wood River Valley is the community and how easy it is to get involved in organizations you believe in.  I have been a Girl Scout Leader and a Coach for Girls on the Run.  I have served on the Board for the Hailey Historical Preservation Commission, Girls on the Run and the Scholarship, Education & Nomination Committees for the Sun Valley Board of Realtors.  Currently, I am enjoying spending time volunteering in my boy’s school classrooms.

I live in Ketchum with my husband David and our sons Thijs (Dutch spelling) and Cody.  David runs Lloyd Construction INC. so I have a great resource from a local builder!  When we are not working we enjoy spending time at Atkinson’s park watching our boy’s soccer & baseball practice, climbing, hiking, and skiing. Our sons are in the Spanish dual immersion program at Ernest Hemingway Steam School.

I became interested in real estate when I was employed by the Sawtooth Board of Realtors.  The board runs the Multiple Listing Service, regulating the actions, at that time of its 400 realtors and affiliate members.  This was a wonderful opportunity that helped me obtain a wealth of knowledge about Idaho real estate law and the local market in the Wood River Valley.

From the Sawtooth Board of Realtors, I took the next step and obtained a real estate license.  Heading to Seattle first, I worked with my aunt, Debbie McCallum, who has been a successful agent for more than thirty years.  I joined RE/MAX Metro Properties and accompanied my aunt through all her real estate interactions.  The exposure to the Seattle market offered an insight into the requirements for success in a competitive market: product knowledge, customer service, and attention to detail.  Armed with what I had learned, I made my way back to Sun Valley, the place in which I again consider home.

I joined RE/MAX of Sun Valley in 2006 and spent almost eight years with a top-selling broker, Joanne Wetherell. I feel fortunate to have benefited from her mentorship.  In 2014, I decided to make a change and move to an office that has both a presence in Hailey and Ketchum.  I am happy to be working at Windermere Real Estate SV LLC and all that it has to offer my clients.  I am dedicated to making my customers buying or selling experience as enjoyable and easy as possible.  With the vast changes in the housing marketing in the past years, I feel that it is vital to continue my real estate education.  To help gain that knowledge I have earned several designations, including a Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist, Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource Certification, Certified Distressed Property Expert Designation and Ninja Selling.  My goal for clients is finding the right buyer for my seller’s property and finding the right property for my buyers. I am honest about showing feedback, work creatively to market listings, keep sellers updated on their listing activity and current market conditions.  I follow the market inventory and explore potential properties for sale not currently listed to make sure my buyers know all their options for purchasing properties.  If you have questions about our local market or a desire to visit any properties, I would look forward to being your guide in getting acquainted with this wonderful community and all the Valley has to offer.

I have been living in the Wood River Valley since 2004. I spent my childhood coming up to Ketchum from Reno for summer and winter trips and I always knew I wanted to live here. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison I worked in advertising in Australia.  A couple of years into my advertising career I decided I needed to get out of the city and back to the mountains.

My husband Erik and I have two young boys- Wyatt and Henry.  Most of all we love to be outside. In the summer you will find us on our mountain bikes, camping, floating the rivers or hiking. When the snow flies you can find us on our skis- Baldy, backcountry, or Nordic. We love it all! With the growing hockey scene in the valley, you will probably find me on skates soon trying to keep up with my boys.

Prior to making the decision to move into real estate, I worked in sales for the past 15 years. I worked in-house at Icebreaker for about 10 years then decided to start my own sales agency business. I spent 5 years running my own business and managing some fairly large clients including Amazon, Nordstrom, and REI.

I look forward to putting my sales, customer service, and business owner experience to work in the real estate world.
